St Fergus Gas Terminal in north-east Scotland is a notoriously difficult construction site given it location. It’s also a nationally critical gas infrastructure facility providing 20% of the UK’s gas needs, via the National Grid plant to the National Transmission System. To prevent terrorism the site is protected 24 hours a day by armed police guards. It is also a project that has experienced major process inefficiencies. Mineral Blue was asked to provide a system to automate the production and distribution of Permits to Work in the cloud for the Emissions Reduction project at the National Grid plant.
