In September 2019, Concept Environmental Services completed installation of two Concept tanks at a nickel recovery operation in Western Australia.
The site was losing valuable nickel to its tailings dam during planned and unplanned shutdowns, placing increased burden on the tailings dam and creating significant risk to the water table and the surrounding environment.
Initial concern was raised as the tailings dam was beginning to reach capacity and shut down process liquid was identified to be placing strain on the system.
