Gas monitoring solutions in underground mining environments

Whenever a new site for an underground mine is opened, one of the primary concerns remains the ventilation inside the mine.

These mine sites are ventilated to provide a controlled air distribution within the underground mine to adhere to statutory and safety requirements and to keep airborne contaminants at a minimum.

Despite installing adequate ventilation in the mine site, there are still risks involving the release of flammable and toxic gases in areas where normal mining activities are undertaken on a daily basis.
