Tecnicas Reunidas and Wison Engineering have awarded Bedeschi a contract for the engineering and supply of new sulfur-handling equipment at the Qatar-based joint venture.
The project is part of the North Field Expansion Project to process and export sulfur from the existing expansion of the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) facilities in Ras Laffan Industrial City (RLIC).
The new sulfur plant will have the capacity to process an average of 5,000 tonnes of molten sulfur per day.
Bedeschi will supply:
- Six belts conveyor for a total length of 1,400 metres with a capacity of 550 tonnes per hour complete of galleries and transfer towers
- Four belts conveyor for a total length of 480 meters with a capacity of 2,000 tonnes per hour complete of galleries and transfer towers
- One belt conveyor for a total length of 120 metres with a capacity of 3,700 tonnes per hour complete of gallery and transfer towers
- Two trippers with a capacity of 550 tonnes per hour
- One double arm portal reclaimer with a capacity of 2,000 tonnes per hour
- One travelling Slewing Ship Loader with a capacity of 2,000 tonnes per hour
- One radial Ship Loader with a capacity of 3,700 tonnes per hour.
