Monitoring gaps in axial piston pumps

Pumps are one of the crucial components in industrial process plants. Many types of pumps are available in the market and selecting a suitable pump will depend on the type of liquid to be pump, how far the liquid would travel and the volume of liquid to be moved. Axial piston pumps utilize the principle of the reciprocating fluid pump to produce fluid flow. They convert mechanically generated kinetic energy into hydraulic energy, and therefore sometimes termed as “hydraulic pumps”. These pumps are typically used in
slow moving machines that produce hydraulic movement such as lifting, turning or gripping.
