Altra Motion’s market-leading brand, Svendborg Brakes, has been leading the way for the continual growth of braking products in Australia.
Historically, Svendborg Brakes serviced the mining market in Australia as a stand-alone company. In 2013 global power transmission and motion control giant Altra Industrial Motion Corporation acquired the company.
This enabled Altra Motion Australia, a subsidiary of Altra Industrial Motion Corporation, to offer not only Svendborg Brakes to their customers but 27 other OEM brands, including Marland Clutch, Stieber Clutch, Twiflex, Formsprag Clutch, and Wichita Clutch.
